Facebook recently changed their Places functionality and have put location tagging at the heart of the site, with the ability to locate yourself whenever you post. Twitter mobile apps have a function to see tweets in your immediate area. Foursquare is pushing harder to join the big boys with more functionality, games and offers. Vouchercloud will deliver offers to your phone that you can use in the town or shopping mall that you are shopping.

There is a lot of talk about the Digital Divide, and it came up in two events that I was speaking at last week. There are several divides and each of them needs to be addressed to make sure that digital technology does not cause greater division in societies.
