Golf is addictive. It turns relatively normal people into strange creatures who don odd colours and shapes of clothing and spend hours walking after a small ball that they then hit further away again...but why? I have a theory that the addiction is not to the game, but to walking on grass. We get few opportunities to walk on grass, yet for the majority of our evolution we walked on grass. Recently archaeologists revealed that roads have been around since around 100 BC. That means grass was our main form of transport for millions of years, and golfers have found a way back. SO why has social media become so popular..?
