I have been thinking about social media and marketing and couldn't get a common theme - but realised that trying to link everything together is exactly what restricts really good social media. Our conversations over coffee or at a party are not restricted by agendas or themes. Really interesting chat wanders around all over the place, and sometimes a common link is found, but often not...so here are some thoughts...

Twitter and Facebook have become completely entwined with the traditional media, both broadcast and print. It is the answer to the question about if social media is going away. Is TV, is radio, are magazines, is the press?

We keep meeting people that don't use Facebook. They are usually wearing suits. They usually know more about social media than we do, apparently. They seem to use a research group of one. Themselves.
